Our aims are to:
• Represent the interests of owners in all matters relating to greyhound racing at Belle Vue.
• Meet regularly with the management to promote owners’ interests (and those of their greyhounds) and to communicate details of these meetings to owners and trainers.
• Work together with the track management for the betterment of greyhound racing at Belle Vue.

Since our foundation we have:
• Introduced a no–cost membership of the Association. Funds are raised by the committee, via sponsored race evenings to pay for presentation jackets and other awards. All owners at Belle Vue are considered to be members of the Association unless they choose to opt out.

Committee meetings are held regularly (usually monthly) and are open meetings to which all owners are welcome.

• Instigated a regular newsletter which is made available to owners at the track, electronically via this site, or via their trainers who are sent copies. The newsletter aims to keep all owners and trainers up to date with our activities and provide points of contact to express their views or concerns.

• Introduced monthly awards for Dog and Bitch of the Month, with the Association providing the successful connections with presentation jackets.

• Run four very successful Awards Evening with over 130 present.

• Negotiated a sponsorship concession so that owners can now sponsor races for £25 instead of £100.

• Negotiated free programmes for owners on each visit to the track.

• Created a Welfare and Track Liaison Sub Committee who have had meetings with the Racing Manager Bob Rowe to discuss a range of issues including injuries and grading, track preparation and improvements, including an on track inspection.

• Supported the call for improvements in veterinary facilities which has brought about significant improvements to the track’s veterinary facilities.
